Health
Healthy Sleep
Effectively working for sustainability requires self care! I will commit to getting 60 more minute(s) of sleep each night to achieve at least 7 hours per night.
Waste
Use Reusable Bags
If at all possible, I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases.
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.
Simplicity
Less Screen Time
I will replace 60 minute(s) of screen time each day with other activities.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.
Simplicity
De-Clutter My Home or Dorm Room
I will de-clutter, clean, and donate or recycle unneeded items in my home or dorm room.
Food
Whole Food Lifestyle
I will enjoy 1 meal(s) each day free of processed foods.
Water
Use Reusable Bottles
I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 5 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.
Health
Reduce refined sugar
I will keep track and reduce my consumption of refined sugars, including sweetened beverages, candy, and processed foods.
Water
Say No to Plastic Straws
An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Ivy Snyder 4/13/2021 8:01 PMI used to get six hours a night because I stayed up late on my phone. It’s easy to waste a lot of time on social media. I started making sure I get 7 hours a night for this challenge and I’ve been feeling happier and more energized, which motivates me to go to bed sooner. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodMichael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?
Ivy Snyder 4/10/2021 5:56 PMI love Michael Pollan! It is definitely better to take a proactive approach to health. I think eating lots of nutrients and cooking your own meals at home are some of the easiest ways to feel better, and for me, this farm to table idea really improved my relationship with food and with myself.
