I used to get six hours a night because I stayed up late on my phone. It’s easy to waste a lot of time on social media. I started making sure I get 7 hours a night for this challenge and I’ve been feeling happier and more energized, which motivates me to go to bed sooner.

Way to go. I really try to get 8 hours a night. Doesn't always work. It's especially hard for students around final exam time.

Michael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?

I love Michael Pollan! It is definitely better to take a proactive approach to health. I think eating lots of nutrients and cooking your own meals at home are some of the easiest ways to feel better, and for me, this farm to table idea really improved my relationship with food and with myself.

You would enjoy a book by Dr. Daphne Miller called Farmacology: Total Health from the Ground Up.
