    Food Visit A Local Farm
How do our current food growing and manufacturing processes affect our future and the future of Earth?

We need to try to eat locally to reduce the footprint that shipping foods has. We can also cut down on packaging in many cases this way. The hardest thing right now is getting off the waiting list for some places because the demand is high but not high enough yet for more options.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

Typically, I will use my hands or purse. I also purchased a collapsible bag to keep in my purse for larger items. If I must accept a disposable one, I recycle the paper bags and I reuse the plastic ones to line trash cans in my home so that nothing is single use.

I'm big on using paper bags in a pinch.  I got caught at target without a bag yesterday.  The old- going in for two things and wound up with several that were too hard to carry- routine!
