  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Core Values
What are your top 3-5 core values? How did you narrow it down to those as being your core values?

It is important to know my own values in order to act according to them which will benefit me now and in the future.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community SIGN UP TO VOTE
Why is voting important to creating a just, sustainable, and thriving world? In what other ways can you actively participate in important decision-making?

It is important to vote and make my voice heard!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Explore My Area
How might spending more time outdoors enhance your brainpower?

I walked along a beautiful trail and saw some blue mountains stretching across the land, with some friends.  It was a wonderful challenge and an exciting way to reconnect with nature :)
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Switch to Cold Water
What do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?

    Jessica Bajorinas's avatar
    Jessica Bajorinas 4/03/2021 8:12 AM
I never thought using just cold water to do laundry would save so much energy!  I grew up sorting laundry and doing separate temperature washes but this is even easier for me to just do cold washes.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Watch a Documentary about Food Sovereignty
How does food sovereignty address the complex transition from localized food systems to modern global food systems?

It was inspiring to see the community collaboration to grow food to support their families and reconnect with the Earth.  This is a very codependent and sustainable practice.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Go Paperless
Reducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

    Jessica Bajorinas's avatar
    Jessica Bajorinas 4/02/2021 9:39 AM
The clutter of advertisements and paper bank statements has become unnecessary to the point of wasteful, especially with online statements.  I feel much better having reduced the amount of mail I have had to throw away (if it's glossy and can't be recycled etc).
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Plant an Herb Garden
Consider the ways you can garden: a plot of land? a patio container? hanging basket? windowsill gardens? What would work best for your living situation and lifestyle?
